Progressions

Looking at Tomorrow

July 2026 · Don Elconin

Astrology is not only about the moment of birth. Progression techniques let us read what is unfolding in a life — and offer a way of looking at tomorrow with meaning rather than mere prediction.

One of the most elegant tools is the Huber Age Progression — imagine a clock hand traveling slowly around the chart, one steady movement through the whole of a life. As it passes each planet and crosses each aspect line, it marks the themes that come into focus at that age.

The chart is not frozen at birth. It moves, and we can move with it.

Alongside it are Rudhyar's cycles — the larger rhythms of individual destiny, the seasons of a life that repeat and deepen. Together, these techniques don't tell us exactly what will happen. They show us where the energy is heading, and how to meet it consciously.

To look at tomorrow, then, is not to fix it in advance. It is to understand the shape of what is arriving, and to prepare to work with it.
